This 18 month temporary visa is available to graduates from approved oversees universities and provides unrestricted work and study rights and the applicant can apply for a permanent skilled visa at any time once they have the required skills or work experience to satisfy the points requirement for a Skilled - Independent visa.
The Minister for Migration will approve various courses of study and universities from time to time which will qualify for this visa category.
The list of approved courses and universities is quite restricted so inquire with your consultant as to the current sponsored courses.
This visa provides temporary residency only and is designed to allow graduates to build their work experience base or to undertake a professional year in their chosen field. This allows them to boost their available points before applying for a permanent skills visa.
Visa Charges:
1st installment of $270 (AUD) is payable at the time of making the application.
